Restaurants in Alcossebre: Where to Eat, Area by Area

Restaurante El NáuticoLa Terraza del Náutico

Alcossebre's restaurants are spread across four areas: the marina and Las Fuentes beach in the north; the seafront promenade and Cargador beach; the streets of the town centre; and the Camí de l'Atall, the coast road heading south to Capicorb. The only one with a Michelin star is Atalaya, on the Camí de l'Atall, while El Náutico and La Terraza del Náutico sit right at the marina entrance.

If you're looking for restaurants in Alcossebre, think in areas: the town stretches for several kilometres along the coast and each stretch has its own places to eat. The official tourist office of Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre lists around 90 bars and restaurants in Alcossebre alone, from seafront rice restaurants to pizzerias, grills and ice-cream parlours. This guide sorts them by area so you know where to eat in Alcossebre depending on where you're staying.

You won't find prices, opening hours or menus here, as they change throughout the year: always check them on each venue's own channels. And if you'd like to know which dishes to order, read what to eat in Alcossebre: paella, fish and local produce.

Restaurants at Alcossebre marina and Las Fuentes

The Las Fuentes marina and the promenade along Las Fuentes beach make up the seafront dining area in the north of Alcossebre. If you're after a restaurant at Alcossebre marina, the first one you reach is the Club Náutico Las Fuentes building (Paseo Marítimo Las Fuentes, 2), right at the marina entrance. It houses two venues:

La Terraza del Náutico

In the same area, the town's list includes, among others:

The marina's commercial units also have pizzerias, bars and ice-cream parlours.

Promenade and Cargador beach

Cargador beach is Alcossebre's main beach, and its promenade and the Paseo Vistalegre are lined with bars, terraces, pizzerias and ice-cream parlours. On the beach itself is the rice restaurant El Arenal (El Arenal building), which publishes its rice menu on its website.

Alcossebre town centre

In the streets of the centre, a short walk from the Cargador, there are restaurants you can reach without the car:

Camí de l'Atall: from Manyetes to Capicorb

The Camí de l'Atall is the road that follows the coast south of town, past beaches and coves such as Manyetes, Playa Romana and Capicorb. Restaurants here are further apart, so it's best to go by car or bike.

Alcalà de Xivert, 9 km away

For inland cooking, the old town of Alcalà de Xivert, the municipality Alcossebre belongs to, is about 9 km away (12 minutes by car). The official list includes a dozen or so bars and restaurants there, several around Plaza Juan Vilanova. It's a good plan during the Fira de la Tomata de Penjar, the local tomato fair held there in October.

Tips for choosing and booking

  1. Book in summer, at Easter and at weekends, especially if you want a seafront terrace.
  2. Out of season, call ahead: several coastal restaurants close or open fewer days in winter.
  3. Order your paella when you book if you're a group; rice dishes are usually for a minimum of two.
  4. Always check opening hours and menus on each venue's website or social media: this guide only tells you where they are.

The full list, with phone numbers and addresses, is on the Alcossebre tourist office website. And if you'd like to dine at the marina and walk back, take a look at the apartments next to Club Náutico Las Fuentes.
